Ma perception a lieu lorsqu’un regard rencontre un autre ou voit à travers un autre. Aussi, le photographe que je suis a-t-il besoin que  « Le Regardé » soit capable de regarder pour pouvoir percevoir l’autre. Le regardé ne peut se voir par lui même, le photographe ne peut se voir que par le regardé. C’est une relation sexuée; croiser les regards signifie ne pas se voir uniquement à travers soi. Le regardant et le regardé, c’est à dire la femme, l’homme, l’aimant et l’aimé, l’enfant, la mère, le pére, le désirant et le désiré : c’est voir non pas les différences mais les changements qu’ils produisent en nous. Pour les voir j’ai besoin de l’image photographique où nous sommes réunis et comme nous le savons un plus un ne font pas deux! Ces changements altruistes en moi sont mes narrations photographiques.

My perception occurs when one gaze meets another or sees through another. Therefore, the photographer in me needs « The Looked At » to be able to look in order to perceive the other. The looked at cannot see itself; the photographer can only see himself through the looked at. It is a sexual relationship; crossing gazes means not seeing oneself solely through oneself. The looker and the looked at—that is, the woman, the man, the lover and the beloved, the child, the mother, the father, the desirer and the desired—is to see not the differences but the changes they produce in us. To see them, I need the photographic image where we are united, and as we know, one plus one does not equal two. These altruistic changes within me are my photographic narratives.

Depuis l’âge de 16 ans mon écriture photographique se crée, je suis présent gravé sur toutes les photographies que je prends avec l’autre, c’est mon histoire, ma fiction. Je suis reflet, ombre, trace, visage, corps, fiction, ligne, performance, photographié, filmé, moi présent en l’autre dans l’image…je cherche ce que la rencontre laisse comme trace de changement. Ces narrations photographiques sont au départ des moments captées documentant les émotions partagées puis lorsque le changement s’est opérée au bout d’un temps incertain voire plusieurs années après, ce sont des montages vidéos auxquels se rajoutent des performances dont seront issues les captures d’écran. Since the age of 16, my photographic writing has been created, I am present engraved on all the photographs that I take with the other, it is my story, my fiction. I am reflection, shadow, trace, face, body, fiction, line, performance, photographed, filmed, me present in the other in the image… I seek what the encounter leaves as a trace of change. These photographic narratives are initially captured moments documenting shared emotions then when the change has taken place after an uncertain time or even several years later, they are video montages to which performances are added from which the screenshots will be taken.
